History & Region

The IAE Aix Graduate School of Management—part of the Aix-Marseille Universite—is located in the beautiful South of France, within France’s second largest metropolitan area after Paris.  Founded in 1955, the IAE Aix was the first GSM in the French public university system.

IAE Aix is also the only French public university entity to receive dual international accreditation:  the European standard of excellence, EQUIS, in 1999, and the AMBA accreditation in 2004 for its full-time MBA Change & Innovation, in 2005 for its Masters Programmes and in 2007 for its EMBA and Euro*MBA.

Technopole of Marseille, PACA

PACA (Provence Alpes Cote d’Azur), is the region of France that the IAE Aix Graduate School of Management calls home.  The region has long been tied to innovation and the creation of small and medium sized businesses.  PACA ranks third in France in R&D spending, and as the economy in the region continues to grow, we can expect this number to only increase.  Better visibility on the region and the access to human and natural resources encourages business, innovation and entrepreneurship.  This spirit of the South of France can be felt and seen in marketing campaigns not only in the region, but within all of France, Europe and the world.  When you also consider that there are several economic hubs and large professional associations found within the region, one can foresee considerable economic development in the future (for more information, visit www.provence-incubation.com).

The participants to our MBA in France will be close to several innovative companies, notably with the business and the consulting projects.
